10. Sukhavihari Jatakaya

Many Shakya princes who were impressed by our Lord Buddha were ordained in this great Buddha Order. At that time, the most famous Shakya princes and Shakyarajas were ordained. Six dynastic princes are very famous among them. King Bhaddiya, Prince Kimbila, Prince Bhagu, Prince Ananda, Prince Anuruddha and Devadatta are these six. Along with them, a priest also went to become a monk. He is upali.

Among these monks, Bhaddiya Theranu, Kimbila Theranu, Bhagu Theranu, Upali Theranu and Rahat became fruitful. Anuruddha Theranu was the foremost among the devotees of God. Ananda became sovan fruit. Became the chief deacon of our Blessed One. Devadatta gave birth to the four Dhyanas. Irdhi was also able to drink miraculously.

At that time, our Blessed One was living in Ambawana called Anupia in Anupia town. At that time, even if Bhaddiya Maharahat went to the shade of a tree or to a hut, he would simply read like this.

'Happa,….. isn't it a wonderful pleasure!…. Harima is not a miracle pleasure!'

Then the monks thought like this. 'Hane...Hane... It's as if this baddiya of ours has remembered the old kingship.... It is not easy to live this monastic life. Axes have robes made of earthen cloth. You have to take the clay pot and find something to satisfy the hunger of the cows in the houses. In the shade of a tree or in a thatched hut there is…. Now, what is the fruit of Rajaseppa's memory?"

So the monks approached Bhaddiya Theru and asked:

"Habeta Awaet Bhaddiya.... Why are you so strangely happy? They always complain that it is not a wonderful pleasure... It is not a wonderful pleasure. Why did you even remember the kingship? At that time, the royal meals were eaten... the king's couch... The garbage carts that are moving... Did you remember the jewels you wore?"

"Oh dear... It's not like that. But this happiness of mine has another serious matter. During my reign, I ate and drank with great fear. There was a real fear that something poisoned for a year would be eaten. Fear came and went everywhere. There were security guards everywhere in the palace. I slept in the Siriahan store at that time. It's upstairs. There were security guards everywhere. But my fear didn't disappear... Happa…. Is that so now.... I take this clay bowl and freely go from house to house looking for food. Enjoy what you get... Now I am wearing these worn out clothes... Who steals these…. Now I go to the shade of a tree in solitude. When I close my eyes and sit for meditation, I feel a sense of relief. I don't feel any fear... It's an amazing freedom….. Happa…. Isn't that a wonderful miracle...

Then the monks left there silently. It was said like this. 'Really... how can an ordinary person have such a fearless composure? Hmm….. Bhaddiya Therun, are you implying that you are a Rahat? Are you telling us in Oro language that Unnanse is in love? Well... let's leave that matter to the Blessed One."

So those monks treated the Blessed One with this news about Bhaddiya Theru.

"Brothers... It is not only in this spirit that Bhaddia was crying about the freedom and happiness in her heart, saying, oh, happiness. In the same way in the previous soul, he complained about the pleasure he had enjoyed.

“Oh… Blessed Lord…. We also love to know the story of our Bhaddia Therun's previous self. Let us be scolded for that!”

"Monks, long ago there lived a king named Brahmadatta in Varanasi. At that time Bodhisattvas were born in a noble Brahmin family. At a young age, he began to understand life. Many were saddened by the suffering of lust. Abandoned the lay house. He left for the Himalayan forest. Rishi was ordained as a monk. Ashta Samapathi gave birth. This Bosat became very famous in that province for the tausdam of the sage. Many people came and became monks with him. After some time, his ascetic entourage became five hundred.

After a certain time, this ascetic came out of the Himalayan forest accompanied by his group of ascetics. Most of the tour in villages. He also came to Varanasi. At that time, the kings of Benares had a large royal garden. Many ascetics lived there. These ascetics also lived in that royal garden with their ascetic entourage. Lived peacefully. After the next Vaskala, I was ready to go to the Himalayas again. He informed the king that he was leaving for the Himalayas. Then the king said: "Sir... You are very old, aren't you?" How do you grow so far? Besides going to the Himalayas for Makkaran? Now you are working in our garden in your old age. It is okay to send this other student Thapasinnansela to the Himalayas.

Then Bosath Thapasinnanse called the head student. 'Child... take these five hundred ascetics and go to the Himalayas. Stay happily with this group of Gohin. I…. I'll be here for a while."

So the group went to the Himalayas after paying homage to Dr. Thapas. Some time passed. One day, that head student wanted to see his teacher, the ascetic. That day he addressed the group of ascetics.

“Holy ascetics,…. I will visit our teachings and worship in your name. You too should not be disappointed in this ascetic life and cultivate virtues with patience. I will go and visit Acharyapadayan" and left for Varanasi.

So that chief student ascetic visited his teachings. Worshiped. Had a happy chat. Acharyapadayan was reclining on a mat beside him. At that time the king also came to the king's garden to the south of Tapasinnan. He came and worshiped the ascetic and sat beside him. Then that student ascetic saw the king and did not get up. He was lying down. 'Happa... not a wonderful pleasure... Isn't it a wonderful pleasure" Udan started to say.

The king thought like this. “He… he is not a strange ascetic. I didn't take for granted that there was a king like me. Didn't even get up. If that is not enough, they say, "Oh, it's not a wonderful pleasure."

“Lord, who is this Thapasinnanse? Must have eaten enough. As soon as you lie down, you can't get up and say, 'Oh, it's good.'"

“Your Highness,…. This is my main student… He is very frugal. He is a king who reigned like you. A person who gave up royal comforts and became a monk with me…. To another serious matter.

How many troops do you have now? At that time, he was a person who slept in the Siriyahan warehouse on the upper floor, accompanied by armed security forces. They did not enjoy such freedom at that time. I have been afraid. Not so now. Now he is very happy and healthy. That's why I'm so happy" Bosat the ascetic said these verses.

Now there is no one else to save him

He does not create those who are saved because of him

There is no desire for any sensual pleasure

O king, he is very happy because of that

Dear, dear child, then the king was very impressed with that ascetic. He was surprised at the mysterious happiness experienced by a king like himself who gave up kingship and became a monk. The previous resentment was gone. The king also worshiped that day.

So that ascetic worshiped his teachings and left for the Himalayas again. The bodhisattvas lived in that garden and died. Brahma was born in the world. At that time, Bhaddiya said, "Oh, good luck."
