One day she came to the place where her old mother spread a mat and lay down. Then the woman was surrounded by flies. It started to sting like a needle . She said this to her daughter.

"Oh , my daughter... Meh... Flies are surrounding me and stinging me ... Drive these flies away..."
"Okay mom... I will chase the flies..." and attacked the places where the flies were closing from the mill where the rice was being harvested. That old mother who was hit by Molgus died there. Since there was no speech from the mother, it was understood that she was dead. Then she hugged her mother and started crying.
Anepidu Situ came to know about this incident. Situ came and performed her last rites. He went to Jetavana and told all these details to the Blessed One.
“The Home Secretary…. That maidservant was not only in this spirit. Earlier, a spirit also attacked his mother with a mill tree while chasing flies, so she died..."
Then Situ asked the Blessed One to tell the hidden story. The Blessed One said this jataka.
“The Home Secretary…. A long time ago, a king named Brahmadatta ruled in Varanasi. The Great Bodhisattva was born in the Situ family of Varanasi and became a Situ after the death of the Situ. That Situ also had a maid named Rohini. One day, her old mother came to the place where the maidservant was sleeping and sat down. Flies surrounded the woman and started stinging.
"Oh my daughter... chase these flies..." he said to his daughter who was cutting rice. Then the daughter covered her mother's flies and hit those flies with the mill tree. As a result , the mother died. Bosat Situ heard it. Then he said this stanza.
"A wise enemy is great
More than the merciful fool
Look at this stupid Rohini
Gohin to chase flies
Maw Nassa is grieving"
The householder is not the only one who killed his mother by killing flies. The same thing was done then. This mother became a mother that day. It was that daughter who became a daughter. I am the one who became the chief minister of Benares." He told the story of Rohini Jataka.
