30. Munika Jatakaya

A certain young man from Savath became a monk with great faith. After a while, this monk became bored with the dharma hearing, dharma study, dharma meditation, and other practices that should be done by a monk. Liked to live in Kulapaga with contributors. So this monk was treated specially by a certain house in Sawat. Delicious dishes were prepared separately. This monk got attached to the lust of taste. He thought that they were loyally friendly. They had other ideas. The idea was to hang Kelly on this monk's shoulder, which Diga Deegan could not do. One day the mother of that house started talking about the assets in the house after alms. The daughter who couldn't go to Diga also came and began to whisper. The mind of this late-dwelling monk went astray. Embraced the lust itself. Decided to leave the robes behind. On the same day, he met his teacher and said that it was difficult for him to lead the monastic life, he had a severe headache, and his mind was scattered a lot. When the teacher further asked his student monk, he realized that he had gone astray due to the temptation of a woman. Then he took this monk to the Blessed One. The Blessed One kept all the information . The Blessed One heard from that monk and said.

"Is it true, monk ... Do you want to wear robes ?

"That's right , Lord.

"Why did the priest get bored?"

“Lord…. So that girl said many things . Then my mind was confused. I have no desire for robes now.”

"Monk, do you know who that girl was in the previous soul?"

"No sir."

“Monk, it was that girl who destroyed you in the previous self. On that girl's wedding day, you lost your life for her and had to go to the wedding table to feed the people. Then the monks wanted to know that story. The Blessed One said this jataka.

"Venerable monks, long ago there was a king named Brahmadatta who ruled in Varanasi. At that time Bodhisattva was born as a cow in a farmer's house in a certain village. They named that cow Mahalohita. After a while, another baby was given to the cow in that house. He was named Chulla Lohita. These two cattle brothers work very hard. That's why the house got a lot of development. There is a daughter in that house. That daughter treats a pig very lovingly. That pig's name is Munika. The pig grew tall and fat due to being given good porridge. Chulla Lohita was not happy because only the pig in that house was given food and drink with love. One day he said this to Maha Lohita.

"To see... We do all the housework. But we get only grass and hay. Happa…. For that... Don't look at the worries of the sage. That…. She is not the one who goes to all the camps and feeds them. What is the point of being treated like that?"

"and…. and…. Chulla Lohita, Meka's food does not appeal to Koran. That pig eats death rice. They will eat a little more. I was hearing that a man was coming to take the food delivery girl. It was the wedding da y. The people who come to that feast are going to send to the wedding table the curry made from the meat of the pig. We will get these with our own eyes, said this stanza.

“As for the bojun that the monk eats

Do not desire

Killed and eaten

Until his death

Eat the straw slowly

This is ours to enjoy!”

Then Chulla Lohita understood the matter. It didn't take long. The wedding day arrived. People came. The sage's voice was heard giving the dead lathoni. A stew was made from his meat and brought to the table. Bodhisattvas spoke to Chulla Lohita. "and…. Child, where is the sage now?”

"Sister, I saw the fruit of the sage's food. Happa…. This grass is worth a hundred thousand times more than that food. great correct Digasiri is available," he replied.

“Holy monk, this is the girl you fed when you were a pig. It was because of her that he died that day. In this spirit she comes and tries to destroy your good," the Blessed One preached the dharma while pointing out the terrible dangers of the world. At the end of that ten days, the monk who was wearing his robes became sovan. "Brother, that day the pig named Munika was this monk who thought to take robes because of that girl. The girl is herself. Chulla metal was our Ananda. "Was it not me who became the Great Lohita?" said the Blessed One.
